It is a sort of fanfare - brief and festive introduction to the concert. The piece contains elements of space distribution of the sound. The orchestra is divided into two groups: the main ensemble staying in front of the listeners and the distant ensemble staying behind the main ensemble at a certain distance. The dialogue between two instrumental groups brings up "the questions for discussion" and pass the "intrigue" to the next pieces of the concert.
Performance in large halls, lobbies and in open area will make the space effects of the piece more obvious.
